IMPORTANT: This upgrade ONLY APPLIES to the original version 1.0 of the 
MCM program. Those that have upgraded to version 1.5 do NOT NEED this 
upgrade. The version 1.5 upgrade includes the replacement of all course 
CD-ROMS, Installer Pro CD-ROM, Installation Manual, Instructor Guides, 
and a page for insertion in the Student Guides. For more information on

Description:
------------
  The Updater #4 for Mastering CNC Machining Centers version 1.0 (MCM) 
corrects the following problems:

  -Course 1, Lesson 2, Question 8 - This question requires jogging a 
cutting tool to a specific location. Previously, the tool moved too 
rapidly to control on faster computers.

  -Course 2, Lesson 3, Question 23 - This question requires entering an 
answer on the graphical keypad. The answer includes an NC address letter 
and a numeric coordinate value. In its original form, using either 
leading or trailing zeroes would produce an "incorrect" response.

  -Course 3, Lesson 1, Question 38 Step 2 - This question requires 
entering an answer on the keypad. The correct answer is properly judged 
when entered by the student. However, an incorrect answer is shown on the 
answer screen. Also, the wording of the question has been changed to make 
it more understandable.

  -Course 4, Lesson 2, Question 17 - This question requires dragging five 
text "labels" and placing each in a specific category (area on the 
computer screen). In its original form, placing the labels in the correct 
positions would produce an "incorrect" response.

  In addition, after this updater has been installed you can run Mastering 
CNC Machining Centers with the video display set to "thousands of colors" 
(16-bit video) or higher. The software no longer checks the color depth 
setting of the computer, it simply runs at the current setting.


Who, When, Where:
-----------------
  By running this updater, it IS NOT NECESSARY to run any of the earlier 
MCM updaters. DO NOT RUN THIS UPDATER IF YOU HAVE VERSION 1.5 OF THE COURSE.

  It is strongly recommended that all users of Mastering CNC Machining 
Centers version 1.0 download this file and run it on all computers where 
MCM is installed.


Instructions:
-----------------
  To install this updater, simply download the file "mcm_u4.exe". Copy the 
file onto the computer on which MCM is installed. Then use the Windows "Run" 
command, or double-click the file icon to execute the program. Follow the 
on-screen prompts and instructions to perform the update.

  This updater CAN be used over a network to update multiple computers from 
a single location. Run the updater, then select "Manual" updates to allow 
you to select installations on network drives.
