Custom Development
Backgound:
V-TIP, Inc., (Vocational Technical Instructional Programs) has been producing training materials since its inception in 1967. The MasterTask division was formed in 1985 to promote the unique performance-based training techniques the firm developed for use in manufacturing. The firm has produced over 40 training systems that comprise approximately 400 lessons. Custom training systems have been developed for firms such as Autocam, Boeing, Caterpillar, Nucor, WheelTek, the Precision Metal Forming Association, and many others.
Multimedia Services:
The company produces training materials using CD-ROM, DVD, video, printed manuals and job aids. Distance-learning tools using the internet are also available.
Staff:
A variety of technical skills are available on staff. Professionals in instructional design, video production, graphic design and animation, and computer-based training are among the full-time personnel.
Development Process:
The firm utilizes a modified form of the ISD (Instructional Systems Development) process commonly used in the US military. This technique insures that those using the resulting training materials meet the stated performance objectives at the lowest possible cost.
