Simulations of the tasks an operator will be performing are provided during the CD-ROM tests. Some simulation questions cover general tasks, while other are specific to the brand and model of CNC controls selected during trainee registration. A "correct" answer requires that all of the steps in the question be correctly answered. If a mistake is made, however, the remaining steps are presented to the trainee so they can see all of the process in context. The question will appear again the next time they return to the test until either the test is turned off by the instructor or they answer all the steps correctly.
