Your Internet Connection:
The files that supply the instruction and testing include sound, animation, and digital video. If you have a DSL, Cable modem or T1 or better web connection with available bandwidth, you should be able to receive the files directly over the internet.
If you have a dial up connection such as a 56K modem, or if your available bandwidth is not sufficient enough to view the lesson samples below, the "Support Files" CD-ROM is available at no charge. You will place the CD-ROM in the training computer or copy the files to the hard drive with the installer application provided. The CD-ROM holds all the files you'll need to view the samples below and take the actual online course. Course management operations do not require a broadband connection. If you would like the free sample CD-ROM, please call 1-800-624-6968. You are under no obligation.
Your Computers:
Minimums: A Pentium II computer with 128 mb of RAM,
A broadband web connection is recommended, however, the free "Support Files" CD-ROM may be used to reduce the bandwidth needs of the course.
Windows version 98 or better.
A current version of a web browser such as Netscape or Explorer.

A SoundBlaster or equivalent sound card with speaker or headphones.
A 15" or larger color computer monitor set to High Color (16 bit) or True Color (24 bit).
Free Sample Modules:
The titles below represent various sections of instruction from throughout this course. The sections provided will each run a few minutes in length. You will be able to answer the test questions that apply to the portion of instruction you saw by clicking on the TEST link for each module. You must either have a broadband web connection to view these samples, or have received the "Support Files" CD-ROM and installed the files. See "Your Internet Connection" above for details.
You will only see a portion of the instruction from each module, not a complete module. The samples provided here was chosen to provide examples of both the inch and metric content as well as core concepts about measurement.
